About
Coach Stephens is a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic H.S. He was an all conference player and part of the 1992 District Championship team. In his freshman year in college, Coach Stephens attended Elizabethtown College and participated in the NCAA tournament (1993). The following year he transferred to DeSales University where he scored 1231 points in three years and participated in the NCAA Tournament (1996). Coach Stephens was selected an All-Conference player in 1996.
Coach Stephens is a graduate of DeSales University with a degree in Education and Criminal Justice. He is currently a History Teacher at Parkland High School. Previously he taught three years at Allentown Central Catholic High School and one year at Freedom High School.
Coach Stephens is entering his fifteenth season as the head coach for the Trojans. In his ten years the Trojans have competed in seven District XI Championship games capturing the gold in 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, & 2016. During the 2008-2009 season the Trojans reached the quarterfinals of the state tournament finishing with a record of 26-4. In 2015-16 season the team went 26-3 before falling to the eventual state champion in the quarter final round. This past season (2020-2021) the Trojans went 13-4 and 8-2 int the EPC. In the current season (21-22) the team was crowned Champions of EPC and District XI and is heading to states.
Prior to being named the Head Coach at Parkland he was the head coach at Emmaus High School. In his four years there, Emmaus won a League Championship (2007) and made the District XI Championship game twice. Prior to his arrival at Emmaus he was an assistant at Central Catholic, Freedom, and an assistant at Parkland for former coach Rich Fatzinger for four years. Coach Stephens and his wife Leigh reside in Allentown. They are the proud parents of three daughters; Rowan, and their twins Erynn and Blair. Coach is the son of Chris and Cathy Stephens, has two older brothers and a younger sister.
